Introduction | My day is filled with conversations of every kind, whether it be with others, myself, or God; the levels of confusion, frustration, and joy that I derive from them are ascending in that order. Writing is the medium by which I can come closest to externalizing these conversations - a process which, above all else, helps me come to terms with myself better. Which in turn, I hope, helps me better understand the world around me. |
Interests | Writing, reading, pick-up sports (basketball, soccer, ball hockey), traveling, debating just about anything over a pint of dark ale, being with loved ones |
Favorite Movies | I've been dabbling in more independent and "foreign" film lately, which has been nice (if not somewhat inflationary to my artistic ego). I also love a good epic; specifically, it's just as hard to peel my rear from the couch when Star Wars is on now, as it was when I was 12. |
Favorite Music | Pretty well everything except "new country" and useless hip-hop (as opposed to creative, constructive hip-hop). I especially enjoy anything that I can take in whilst also reading a good book - Oscar Peterson, John Coltrane and Paul Simon come immediately to mind. |
Favorite Books | Lately, I've been finding it difficult to judge books; most of them contain profound, unique ideas, and far too many are brashly critiqued by closed-minded pundits. If I was forced to name a couple authors that have had profound effects on me, though, I'd be quick to mention Graham Greene and CS Lewis, among others |
