Introduction	AFAD was launched as an organization that would establish a network for strategic access, value and opportunity for fashion designers with the shared vision of supporting the industry’s goals. AFAD will provide a community and platform through which its membership can access marketing, manufacturing and networking opportunities, the over-arching aim is to highlight/showcase the creativity of its members and to encourage and develop new talent. To this end, the agency will create partnerships that support the establishment of a distinctive Kenyan Design Industry, with recognizable designs standards and capable of influencing international fashion trends.
