| Introduction | Honys Torres (Venezuela, 1969) is a visual artist and multidisciplinary creator based in Zürich, Switzerland. Her work unfolds within the field of contemporary Neo Pop, combining popular iconography, everyday symbols, and cultural references to build a vibrant, accessible, and critical visual language. She has participated in numerous art salons, group exhibitions, and solo shows, and her work is part of private, institutional, and public collections, including the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Caracas, the Museo Alejandro Otero, the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Cumaná, and the Museo Mateo Manaure. Her practice explores the relationship between memory, visual culture, and daily life, articulating a universe filled with icons, logos, characters, and recognizable symbols that engage with political, social, and emotional realities. She currently develops projects in visual art, cultural mediation, photography, book‑objects, and creative pedagogy, integrating her experience in museography, archiving, and visual storytelling. |
