| Introduction | I was born on June 25, 1945 in Sioux City Iowa but spent most of my childhood in Chicago Illinois, (Augusta Blvd near Damen Avenue if you know the area). In my high school years my family lived in the Chicago suburb of Berwyn. I attended Morton West High School in Berwyn and Morton Junior College in neighboring Cicero. I finished my academic career at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb Illinois graduating with a bachelors degree in mathematics. I am a Viet Nam veteran serving a year with a Signal Corp company at Cam Rahn Bay. Upon return to civilian life I worked as a computer programmer and at various IT specialties until I lost my job in the "dot-com bust". I married my wife Lucille during my working years. Finding new work difficult to find, I retired a bit early. Now I live on savings and Social Security and try to get some additional income from trading stocks and stock options. Interests include: science, politics, economics, history and philosophy. |
