About me

Gender Female
Location Issaquah, WA, United States
Introduction I grew up riding bikes with my sisters around St. George, UT but didn't get into "real" mountain biking until I was about 25 years old; although, I somehow always knew that my destiny was going to involve mountain bikes. Maybe I created my own reality? I'm not sure. I wholeheartedly took the sport on with the support of my boyfriend (now husband) and his wacky bunch of friends. I learned the hard way, crashing many times, but enjoying every moment. We spent a few good summers playing on our downhill bikes up at Whistler, until I realized that I actually like the challenge of going uphill as well. Then, I entered my first XC mountain bike race in 2009 as preparation for an XTERRA triathlon. I didn't do very well, but I was definitely bit by the racing bug. I purchased a race bike and began winning local races. I made the decision to try to go Pro in 2010. With a few good races under my belt, USA Cycling accepted my application saying "good luck". Well, here I am, ready for this new season in life, racing, and riding.
Interests Mountain biking, camping, rock climbing, pugs.
