Introduction I need at least a dozen brains to absorb all the information I want to learn! I am intensely impassioned about the status of women around the world. That women are still valued less than livestock, coerced into being sex slaves under false pretenses, and continually being beaten at home (or worse) all over the world in the 21st century...it makes my blood boil. Issues of injustice against others based on race, religion, sexual orientation, and social injustice also fuel my desire to throw my support in whatever tiny way I can toward those courageous souls trying to bring justice, dignity, and hope for others who've been violated. My personal motto: I may have osteoporosis of the spine, but I'll be damned if I remain silent if there is an injustice out there that is eating at me, thus spineless. (though I AM working on the osteo part via near-daily exercising, annual infusion of medicine, and being mindful of diet best I can!)
Interests reading voraciously, listening to music of all kinds, surfing the web, art, martial arts, eating good food, and emailing my buddies around the globe -- or writing them by snail mail.
Favorite Movies Sound of Music, It's a Wonderful Life, Dr. Strangelove, Annie Hall, Sleeper, The King of Masks (China)
Favorite Music Classical--esp. Shostakovich and Chopin, pop and rock-n-roll from the '50s, 60's (Beatles!), and 70's; lounge music when I'm doing boring household chores; opera, when I'm cooking.:-) I like swing/big band, too--music from my dad's time that he often played while I was growing up.
Favorite Books Anything by: Simone de Beauvoir, Banana Yoshimoto, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Gogol, Dickens, and Kafka Three literary works that have forever remained with me since high school and which I have reread at least two or three times: Oliver Twist--C. Dickens, Jane Erye--C. Bronte, and Hamlet--W. Shakespeare. I LOVE those three!

Did anybody kiss you today?:-)
