Introduction	So we bought a motorhome a few years ago, and we couldn’t have been luckier to have found one that served all our needs so perfectly. We’ve now put 40,000 miles on her since purchase at 13,000, but our travels had always been limited by a need to return home for work, family, and the other mundane requirements of life. But then Diane retired, the children are doing well on their own, the house is well cared for, and daughter Meredith has assumed care of Diane’s mother. We are free at last! And if we don’t do it now, when? Our motorhome has a name. It’s from the “D”s in our names and follows from “The Double D Ranch,” what we call our permanent place in Northeast Pennsylvania. We could have spelled it “Didi” or “DeeDee,” it just seemed simpler to spell it “DD.” We have a long history of giving names to every vehicle we have ever owned. I guess we should mention that the car we tow (our “toad”) is named Essie. She’s a Saturn SC-2. Get it? So, we’re a little goofy, but we are blessed with an enduring love, a powerful partnership, two wonderful children, two grandchildren, and six wheels under our feet. The adventure begins!
