Introduction	I spent my working life as a journalist, scriptwriter and film producer. It was great - but by 2003 it was time to move on and try something new. That's when I began a one-year course to get my City of London Guide Badge. That has led to LONDON FOOTSTEPS, my own organisation which offers walks around the City to groups as well as individuals. Since then I have been on short courses on several London subjects at City University and Birkbeck, University of London. Then I decided to do something which didn't happen 50 years ago - to tackle the challenge of a degree course. Last July I graduated from Birkbeck, University of London, with a BA (Hons). Now I am studying for a MA in Sport culture and history at De Montfort University, Leicester.
