IntroductionA Quilter's Path started as a personal journal, to record the things I've learned since I first started quilting around 2011. I hope that readers will share their experiences, too. Unlike blogs by quilting professionals who are selling something, this blog is sporadic. I love to share my work, but I'd rather be sewing! I usually have at least three projects going on at once -- a new quilt, a leaders-and-enders project, and trying to finish off a UFO (unfinished object). It's no wonder that it takes a while to get a project to the place where I'm ready to post about it. I started out sewing fairly traditional quilt blocks using a muted color palette. As my stash grew, along with my urge to try new things, I became a fan of scrap quilts. Sometimes, though, they seemed too busy to me, so I've gravitated toward more controlled scrappy. I now find myself increasingly drawn to modern quilts, with clean, simple lines and a variety of colors and tones that create a mood.
