Introduction	At Maury ES, each student is guaranteed at least 45 minutes of physical education and health per week. 1st through 5th grade students receive two 45 minute classes per week. We use a combination of curricula with a heavy concentration on SPARK: Physical Education and Wellness Curriculum. We are working towards compliance with Title IV of the Healthy Schools Act, by increasing the amount of physical education and health education the students receive per week. Maury Elementary School is the only school in the District that currently conducts separate health and physical education classes for 1st through 5th grade students.
