| Introduction | This 58 years young Libra is living in the sunny Central Valley area of California. I am married, with 2 cats, Dixie and Buddy our baby. Many of my childhood pictures show me alone coloring on the kitchen table. I often joke about singing since before I was born, though it has taken me years to feel comfortable with it. This current part of my life-journey has led me to meet many wonderful artists, especially in the altered art category (they suggested I join the world of the "blog"). I chose the title Renaissance Woman because I have been referred to as just that. To me it is a lady who does a myriad of things and is willing to try anything...well, within reason ;o) I have welcomed some challenges with open arms, but have also gone "kicking and screaming". I know the difference between a dove-tail joint and a dove's tail, a pine needle and a sewing needle. I am finding and embracing my art, my music and "me". It is a common quest to want to find one's self after 50 (or at any age, really)...oops, my cliche baby-boomer side is coming out! Here's to all the artists, singers and writers...may we all find the courage to be our best. |
