About me

Location Ontario, Canada
Introduction I am in my happy place with needle and thread in hand, but every now and then I do like to hear the hum of a sewing machine. Most of my quilting time is spent on needle-turn applique, hand piecing and hand quilting. I also love stitchery and hope to get back to crocheting again one day. Maybe one project a year to satisfy the urge. New for 2012 is my return to Rug Hooking and this has me very excited. The Frugal Rug Hooker I hope to be and have already become a thrift store junkie in search of the perfect wool garments to cut into ¼ inch strips. Everything inspires me, I like variety. My interest lies in the journey and a finish is just a bonus. In other words, the greatest joy for me comes from the small steps along the way. A work in progress is good for the soul and one of life’s simple pleasures. Also, spending time in the garden or relaxing with a nice cup of tea and a good book makes for a perfect day. ‘Be not afraid of going slowly, be afraid only of standing still.’ Chinese Proverb
