| Introduction | Julie Kirby has been designing and hand fabricating jewelry for over 20 years . She began her training in the jewelry arts with Eleanor Meadows at Mesa College in San Diego , California and later expanded her knowledge with an apprenticeship in Taxco , Mexico . Julie has marketed her unique jewelry as a San Francisco street artist , at Pike Place Market in Seattle , Washington and currenty at fine craft fairs on Oahu , Hawaii . Julie's one of a kind creations are hand fabricated using , primarily , chase and repoussage techniques . She works in 14K gold , sterling silver , and gold-fill with natural stones , fresh water pearls , and sea shells . Her designs are inspired by the ocean's waves and the tropical plants and flowers that make up the beauty of Hawaii . |
