Introduction Christopher Griffin is a private horn instructor and freelance musician in the Charlotte area. He is instructor of horn at Wingate University. He is a member of the Union and Western Piedmont Symphonies. He has performed with the Greenville, Charlotte, and Charleston Symphony Orchestras. Dr. Griffin currently maintains a private horn studio, coaches chamber music at several local schools and has been on faculty at the Interlochen Center for the Arts Summer Music Festival. He is an active member of the International Horn Society. He received his D.M.A. from the University of Southern California, M.M. degrees in Music Theory and Horn Performance from Temple University and a B.M. in Horn Performance from Auburn University. His primary teachers include Richard Todd, James Decker, Randy Gardner, Dr. Randall Faust, Dr. Gayle Chesebro and Aaron Brask.
