| Introduction | My life has been rather unorthodox. I'm a free thinking, spirited person twice blessed with motherhood. Im on a quest to learn about myself and life through my process of recovery. Creative self-expression and communication is vastly important to me. I love a good belly-laugh, as I ponder life's myriad mysteries and absurdities; the sacred and the profane. My posts, poems, and views/experiences/opinions are simply that: MY opinions. I tend to think and to write in a rambling and non linear way. | Interests | Writing, reading, humor, photography, music, poetry, being a country mouse/city mouse, the smell of hay, browsing bookstores and libraries, playing with puppies, sharing ideas and expanding my own, being outdoors in the fall and springtime, walking, nutrition. I love other cultures and long to travel abroad one day. I have always been intrigued by power exchange dynamics in human relationships. Mostly I love to write. Hence, this blog.. |
| Favorite movies | Shawshank Redemption, Secretary, 9 1/2 Weeks Moonstruck, Becoming Jane, Brokeback Mountain, Deconstructing Harry, Working Girl, Trainspotting, Crazy Heart, A Room With A View,Friends with money, Out of Africa, Rocky, Troy, Gladiator, Christopher Guest comedies, Guy Ritchie 'Brit-gangster' movies, Woody Allen films, Driving Miss Daisy, West Side Story, Mask, Quills,Traffic, Shakespeare in Love, Hannah and her sisters, Girl with a Pearl Earring..Pride and Prejudice, and many others. I favor drama, documentaries, and dark comedies...no vapid 'chickflicks', 'romcoms', or horror. I like films that makes me think. Man on a Wire was brilliant. |

Anais Nin is a god(dess) to me! I read a lot. Worship poetry: ee cummings, Sharon Olds, Billy Collins, Neruda, Robert Lowell.. Frost, Whitman, Dickinson, many others..again, based on mood.
