IntroductionCelestine Chukwu is the writer of Nigeria’s first ever published dictionary of colloquialism, "A Dictionary of Nigerian Pidgin and Slang" (2008). He wrote the advertising campaign for the 2007 election of the present Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola and for the election of former Governor of Borno State, Senator Ali-Modu Sherif, also in 2007. Of recent, he served as Creative Consultant for publications of the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism. These publications include their "Lagos: Iconic. Working. Emerging" and "Lagos – An Extraordinary City of Revelations!" Celestine Chukwu's career has recorded substantial accomplishments in areas of writing as diverse as poetry, drama, fiction, journalism and advertising. His notable works include "Fela: Style of the Legend" - a comprehensive exploration of the circumstances surrounding the origin, message, orientation and style of the Afrobeat musical genre as it relates to the personal history of its progenitor; "Ireti Sharia Baby" - a play written in 2000 in reaction to the Sharia crisis in Kaduna, Nigeria that year. Celestine Chukwu makes a living in Lagos as a full-time Writer and Creative Consultant.
