| Introduction | Hello world, Its me SANTOSH TAMANG(GHISING) from small village Tamulbari Roing arunachal pradesh INDIA. Trying to find the actual origion of our caste TAMANG and the history we belong.as history says we belong to indigenous ethnic group of Nepal. it belives that Tamang is an ethnic Tibetan group that inhabits the entire mountainous region of South Asia, concentrated more in Nepal and north -eastern parts of India, a small population is present in Tibet Autonomous region,China. Besides they are also found in Myanmar. in Nepal- Dhading, Kavre, Nuwakot, Rasuwa, Ramechhap, Sindhuli, Dholakha, Chitwan have majority of Tamang population. A tribe belonging to Tibeto-Burman language group, are traditionally animistic, and ancestral worshippers, but living in proximity to the Tibetans, became Buddhists when Buddhism spread in Tibet. Some Tamangs, however, in their opinion that Tamangs became Buddhists before the Tibetans which can't be true based on Buddhist history and many study findings. In Darjeeling, Sikkim, Dooars; Tamangs have been present since long, before the coming of the British. Thank you very much reader, |
