| Introduction | I'm a Conservative councillor serving the Blackdown Ward of Taunton Deane Borough Council since May 2007. I was also Conservative candidate for the County Council division of Blackdown and Wellington East in the June 2009 elections, losing by just 9 votes. TDBC Blackdown ward covers the three parishes of Pitminster, Churchstanton, and Otterford, one of the geographically largest and most rural and sparesly populated wards in the Deane. The County Council dvision takes in the Blackdown ward, and also a large part of Wellington and the surrounding area, including Sampford Arundel, Holywell Lake, and West Buckland. Any opinions, views, and comments expressed on this website are mine alone and may not necessarily be shared by other Conservatives, nor any part of the Party itself. The reason for this disclaimer is that I am independently-minded and while the Conservative Party embraces most of my personal views, there are also issues on which I may diverge from their line.
