| Introduction | Born in Los Angeles, educated at Berkeley (BA: Philosophy) and Madison (MA Jse literature), I somehow ended up in Japan, where I work as a freelance translator and ocassional writer. Landing in Japan by way of Indonesia and India, I wasn't planning on staying more than a summer.... That was almost 20 years ago! I dream of someday returning to Hong Kong and living on Lantau, but for now I mainly travel through history books and paintings, sometimes in bowls of tea. As many have said before me, these writings are to help me know what I'm thinking and to help me remember... |
