| Introduction | I am married and have two sons. I work as a Minister in the the Church of Scotland....so I guess my boys are 'Sons of a Preacher Man'...! The Noble Eagle is a concept devised by Nietzsche in his book 'The Genealogy of Morality' to describe a more 'heroic' attitude to life. We live in a society that celebrates mediocrity as though it was excellence. In the words of Ron Weasley, "Everything we have is rubbish!" One consequence of this is that there is no room for eccentrics any more. We are a culture of the bland, a magnolia society. We could really do with more Noble Eagles!
