| Introduction | I am a high energy experimental physicist, affiliated to IN2P3 (National Institute for particle and Nuclear Physics) part of CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research). I have been working at Rutherford (UK), SLAC(US), CERN(CH) and KEK(JP) developing low temperature dark matter detectors and event generators for the collider (LHC, ILC) physics simulations. Basic research is now seen as a global endeavor, but neither we, the scientists, the policy makers nor the scientific organizations are really prepared to this emerging situation. The blog is not a diary, it is an experience in cooperative thinking on implementing a more global approach in basic research.
