Introduction Welcome to this weekly column. Baseball in the 1960s was a wonderful time. It was really the last vestige of what baseball was in the 20th century. In 1969 it all changed and some would say not for the better. I will let you be the judge.
Interests As a journalist over the years I've interviewed sports stars, celebrities and presidents. One of my deep loves is baseball, especially in the 1960s. My hope is you read these columns and enjoy them as much as I do writing them.
Favorite Movies "Field of Dreams, " "The Horse Soldiers, " "High Noon, " "Blazing Saddles, " and "The Replacements, " to name a few.
Favorite Music Buddy Holly, CCR
Favorite Books "Lancer; Hero of the West" western novel series. Also, "Tales of My Baseball Youth - a child of the 60's." Eight Men Out.

Who is your favorite baseball player from the 1960s? My hero is Bill Mazeroski. He is one of the nicest men I've ever met and a true gentleman. They broke the mold with Maz.
