Introduction Perry McIntyre is a fourth-generation Atlantan with a lifelong involvement in, and passion for, the game of soccer. The 2014 World Cup was the sixth World Cup he covered as a publications photographer. He has been a contributing photographer to Soccer America and Soccer Journal for over 25 years, and has also covered the Olympic Soccer tournament and three Super Bowls for the NFL, while Team Photographer of the Atlanta Falcons for 16 NFL seasons. For the past 21 years, he has worked at his alma mater, The Lovett School, serving as Sports Information Director, and Athletics Webmaster. He holds NSCAA coaching licenses at the National and Advanced National levels, as well as a National Goalkeeping Diploma. During his 17-season tenure with the Lions' soccer programs, as a coach and Soccer Coordinator, Lion teams advanced to 14 GHSA State Semifinals, seven GHSA State Finals and won two GHSA State Championships. In 2005, he was selected as the NSCAA Assistant Coach of the Year for the Southern Region of the U.S. In 2009, McIntyre received an NSCAA Certificate of Appreciation for 20 years' service to the organization at its annual convention.
