| Introduction | I am a 41 year old mother of a seventeen year old boy, wife of a husband of 20 years, School age Childcare Site Manager and wannabe firefighter paramedic. I have dreamed of this for as long as I can remember. When I turned 40 I knew I had to stop hiding my passion and dream in the closet and do something about it. When I realized that, I found that the major depression I had been suffering from for years went away overnight... literally. I began forgetting to take my antidepressants and then gave up trying to remember. That was a year ago and I've never felt better! I don't know if my climb up the ladder to live my dreams will bring me all the way to the top or not. I might never be a firefighter or even a paramedic, but I WILL make it into the emergency services where I will serve others and make a difference. Nothing bad can come from climbing this ladder, only improvements in my life. I'm going to climb as high as my mind and body will take me and nothing is going to stop me now! |
