Introduction	ForHilliardKids is a political action committee (PAC) that was initially set up to defeat the Hilliard Schools levy (Issue 7) on May 3rd. While many are quick to label as as "anti schools" the reality is that we're not "anti schools" we are "pro kids". Sometimes, ballot issues are presented in misleading ways such as "You have to support this, or you're against the kids!" But if you study the district's own financial numbers, you soon see that the truth is that whether the levy passes or not is not the issue; the issue is when the school district will get serious about cutting spending. We need to realize as a community that this levy is nothing more than, at best, a 2 year bailout for the schools. The problem isn't resolved by this levy; indeed, it simply makes it worse by guaranteeing even larger cuts down the road. Read the posts to learn more.
