My blogs
| Introduction | I am a costume designer and performance artist, currently looking into adding illustration as an artistic pursuit. While I draw often and love to use drawing to work through costume ideas and plans, I decided to start this blog to look into illustration itself more formally. I graduated from Bowdoin College in May 2010 as a Visual Arts major and English minor. After designing and stitching costumes at Interlochen Center for the Arts the summer after graduation, I moved back to Maine to be a costume-oriented Artist in Residence at the Quimby Colony in Portland from September-December 2010. During my residency, I decided to look into illustration along with my costume and performance-related explorations. This blog gives me the opportunity to share my doodles, drawings, paintings, and musings during my residency and hopefully for a long time afterwards. Please feel free to refer to my costume design and construction and fine art portfolio at lillianprentice.wordpress.com |
