About me

Introduction It was approximately 6 years ago I decided I would make my first trade after a friend introduced to the game who did it as a hobby. Initially it was to be used as a way of making a few extra dollars on the side, before realising it could actually be a fair bit more than that. I'm primarily a momentum trader who generally has a relatively high turnover per day in comparison to other traders out there. It’s rare for me to buy and hold longer then a 24 hour period, unless something draws me to a stock which gives me the impression it has significant potential (A bottom draw type stock). Many of the trades I initiate can be unsuccessful (either a loss or cost me brokerage), however to be successful in this game you need to ensure that you have more successful trades then unsuccessful, or more importantly your winning trades need to be larger than your losers. So it's essential to keep the losers tight. Over the years I have added and removed various techniques when it comes to identifying a trading opportunity, though the most common will always be swing trades & breakouts. My key to been successful in this game is to ensure I stick to my rules!
