Introduction	We have been married since 1983. Three of our four grown children live in Ontario; one lives in Alberta. Two are married and we have one beautiful grandchild. John and I both grew up as first generation Canadians of immigrant parents. In those homes, living in obedience to God, frugality, and the three "r's" - recycle, reuse, reduce - were part of everyday life. During our marriage we saw the importance in what we had been taught and tried to pass that on to our children. We also had the opportunity to renovate/restore three different properties that we own as rentals. It was our dream to one day do the same for a home we would live in. In 2013 that house of our dreams was for sale. We bought it and rented it out until June 2015. Now, with our own house sold, we are set to move in and begin the process of restoring this Gothic-revival beauty.
