Introduction	I asked my mother what one of her favorite memories is from her childhood...she told me "a pinela"...her grandmothers land was referred to as the "pinela". When she goes to Portugal I know she enjoys taking the walk through this plot of land, that today is covered with weeds and overgrown plants and buildings that are falling apart. A place that her and her 8 siblings used to run through freely, causing trouble I'm sure.
