| Introduction | My first day at school. Dodging the teacher - running out of class - made to sit on the first bench - my elder brother Arun peeking in through the window to see how I was holding up. Earliest memory of myself! Skip to 8 years later - 1979 - I got my first Indrajal. These two memories are still vivid. I came across PHANTOM in the Illustrated Weekly of India. A remark of one of my friends of having seen The Phantom on a book at a local newsstand set me off to verify what it was. It was Indrajal No. 319 Demons From The Dark Part 1. I bought it! And Indrajal became an integral part of my growing up - which still clings to me as I grow old.------This blog is an attempt to revisit the places, people and events that connected with me in my quest to complete my dream of having all 803 issues. The books-comics I share - Indrajals and many others - Action, Falcon, Diamond, AFI etc - only connect many nostalgic dots - no financial meanings are involved. Thanks to friends and erstwhile classmates - who let me scan the missing issues - and thanks to fellow uploaders - some of whose scans I cleaned and reprinted to complete my collection - a dream spanning 4 decades - close to being realized! |
| Interests | Comics of course! Reading T3i, Asimov, Alexander McCall Smith, Ayn Rand - the list goes on... Kishore Kumar, Mohammad Rafi, Amit Kumar. Sketching and Painting... |
