| Introduction | I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky and attended Bellarmine University, a liberal arts institution, where I earned a degree in history with a minor in secondary education. While my first love is the story of human history, I am most passionate about helping young people develop the strong literacy skills they will need to find contentment in the 21st Century. I have taught middle school social studies, language arts, and math, and high school English. I've been a Literacy Coach and a Behavior Specialist.
