| Introduction | For a damn Yankee, my interest in the Texas Panhandle is particularly strange, compulsive, and strangely compulsive. Perhaps the feeling is fueled by my love of hot sauce; or perhaps it has something to do with writing a novel set in and around Amarillo, past, present, and future.
