| Introduction | I have been a working woman for the past three decades totally steeped in teaching and research. Having got married young, I had no clue on cooking, let alone South Indian cooking. Thanks to my mother-in-law Vatsala, I got to grips with the basics!! Over the years I have learnt from neighbours, colleagues and relatives and word of mouth from the vegetable vendors and others whom I have interacted with. I am now living in Thondamuthur, Coimbatore in the midst of nature. It is a pleasure to cook vegetables freshly picked and to make your own masalas of various kinds. I hope this blog helps those new to South Indian Cooking.. |
