Introduction | I'm a "life-long" student. When I graduated from high school a couple of decades ago, I promptly entered university. And after a year wandering the hallowed halls of higher education, I promptly dropped out. What followed was a period of "experiential education"; dead-end jobs bracketing periods of unemployment, all pieced together with a general lack of direction, until I entered the doors of a grass-roots social service agency. It was there that I found some direction which led me to enter community college where I earned a diploma in social service work. I then worked for a period of time in my chosen profession before deciding it was time to return to university and finish what I started over a decade prior. That was 10 years ago. Currently, I am [still] working towards my degree in adult education with an expected completion in the spring of 2013. |
