| Introduction | Hailing from Johnson City, TN, I started teaching in 1988 at the tender age of 21. Over the past few years, I've performed in around 30 different plays, played piano, served as a summer RA, learned how to drive a forklift, traveled to England and Scotland, eaten raw scallops, taught over 2500 students, toilet trained a cat, had stitches with no anesthesia, and recited the first paragraph of "Caperucita Roja" with character voices. A confirmed emetophobe, I have an extra bone in each foot. |
| Interests | In no particular order: family, church, pets, ballroom/swing dance, reading, theatre, film, music, travel, finance, cooking and eating, art, philosophy, and more... |
| Favorite movies | Too many to name them all, but I do have a fondness for romantic comedy and period drama. Martin Scorcese, Kenneth Branagh, Robert Zemeckis, Nora Ephron, Stephen Spielberg, Robert Wise, Frank Capra, Quentin Terentino, Clint Eastwood, and Alfred Hitchcock are favorite directors |
| Favorite music | I have eclectic tastes. You'll find everything from Bach to Aerosmith, from Gill to Cugat, from Buble to Ritenour, from Vollenweider to Rutter, from Zeppelin to Cameo in my collection. |
| Favorite books | Again, choosing favoties is terribly difficult. Right now, Stegner, Williams, Sedaris, Austen, Shakespeare, Rakoff, DeMille, Sparks (ok, yes, I admit it), Grisham, Fitzgerald, Heller, Emerson, and Thoreau come to mind... |
