| Introduction | Without challenging life experiences I would not have explored personal development, and looked toward spirituality for the answers . I have a long history of working with people and they still fascinate me with how unique they are. After many years of searching I found Occupational Therapy , it gave me the creative platform to work with people, bringing out the best in them. After a break I've been inspired to return to OT because of my sons diagnosis of autism. Without doubt the biggest learning curve ever. The focus of my work is to motivate, empower and educate in terms of wellbeing for parents of autistic kids and how to manage emotional states. Positive psychology is my main tool for this, which I've studied for 5 years. Our minds are powerful and with a change in perspective they can flourish, allowing greater resilience when times are tough. Creating community, engagement and having a laugh are what matters! |
