Introduction	After pursuing journalism and international relations at university as an adult student, I have long dreamt of writing a book or two. "A 40something life" came about to give an outlet to my 'inner voice' (that just won't stop chatting) and also to help me gain confidence with my writing after so long out of the field. Some of it will be funny (at least I hope you find it so) and some pieces will touch on slightly more serious topics. It is my hope that some of my writing will have resonance. That others will inspire, encourage or let you know there is a light at the end of the tunnel... In my previous vocations, I sang on cruise ships and hotel bars in Singapore, Japan and Australia, sang in a movie, am a published songwriter, and spent many years writing on behalf of people and companies. I am currently working on a motivational/inspirational book aimed at young adults - creating a legacy to be kinder to ourselves.
