| Introduction | I am a stay at home mom to the most amazing little boy, Carson! Carson was born on 8/20/10 and he just happens to have Down Syndrome. At 6 weeks old Carson had surgery to remove 6 inches of his intestines due to Hirschsprung's Disease. While we did spend many nights in the hospital following his surgery, now we are most likely in the clear. We also have a dog Sammy who is like a child to us. I got pregnant for the second time on March 31, 2011. Unfortunately, Dylan Anthony did not make it and I delivered him on June 24, 2011. It was a devastating loss that was beyond difficult to get through. Trying to understand why he did not make it and what this was supposed to teach us. I think I've realized that sometimes life does not go the way you had planned, but the path it takes you on can lead you to things so much better than you could have ever imagined! I have an amazing husband of 5 and half years, and more importantly he is an amazing father. Our life has not been without it's struggles but Carson's sweet smile can melt all your worries away in an instant. |
