Introduction	Billy Shaw accepted Christ as his Savior at age 8. In 1999, he was concertmaster of the Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra and had won the Piano Division of the Charlotte Young Artist Competition, when God called him to preach. In 2004, he earned the Bachelor of Science degree in Bible-Pastoral Studies from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN. He has had the privilege of completing four institutes at the Stephen Olford Center for Biblical Preaching in Memphis, TN. On a mission trip to Zimbabwe in January 2007, he had the opportunity to preach through a translator and outdoors in center city Harare. Ordained at First Baptist in Charlotte, Billy completed his MDIV degree at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary this past December (2008). He is humbled by the opportunity to lead First Baptist Stanley into God's plan for her future. His life verse is Philippians 3:10, "That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death." His main hobby is songwriting.
