| Introduction | My creativity has gone through many incarnations: drawing, painting, linoleum print making, cooking and writing, I would like to believe that making jewelry is not necessarily something new but an amalgamation of so many of those outlets I have temporarily left behind. Discovering Etsy made me realize, that I can make and market my own art and hopefully make other women and myself happier in the process. I find creating jewelry the ultimate expression of my creativity, starting with designing, executing, photographing, wording, packaging etc. All the steps involved allow me to make something special. I'll just tell you in closing that I am NYC public school teacher. I am surrounded by some awesome kids, who make the grind worthwhile. I am coming to jewelry making after years and years of buying jewelry and often feeling like I paid too much for something that was commercially made. My inspiration comes from many sources: catalogs, magazines, movies, the materials themselves, but most importantly from observing women, their tastes, their loveliness, and how a great (not necessarily expensive) piece of jewelry can make any woman feel...phenomenal! |
