| Introduction | I am 58 yrs old...married...with 2 children, 4 stepchildren, 8 grandkids....5 from my husband's side and 3 from mine...I worked for 30 plus yrs as a psychiatric nurse..registered nurse...and loved my field...have not worked for last few yrs...I had to have a knee replacement and I haven't gotten back into nursing...I grew up in the deep south...sw georgia..not far from the Jimmy Carter home..so that says something about my background and the culture in which i grew up....I also grew up during and remember well the start of the civil rights movement....and the beginning of changes for black people in this country....so I think I may have a unique perspective on that time in history..... |

| Favorite movies | my favorite all time movie is "To Kill a Mockingbird", I also loved "Gone With the Wind", the Godfather movies..."Crosscreek" and lately.."The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"...the Lonesome Dove series of movies was wonderful to me... |
