| Introduction | Born on the cusp of autumn, I've had a lifelong affinity for its colors, especially that elusive golden light we only get towards the end of September and October. It colors my dreams and my artwork. In eighth grade, my middle-school art teacher told me I should give up. I did, for many years, but am happy to report I've evolved into a self-trained person who enjoys making art. I'm curious and persistent, and I like to play, which means I explore many different techniques. I'm a mom of three teenagers, a wife, a full-time community media organizer, and a late-night dabbler. This outlet is my therapy in life. I enjoy contributing to many local causes and auctions and do sell some of my work. This blog highlights my card making, mixed-media collage collage and jewelry. I've been reading the poetry of Wendell Barry and kids stories by Walt Whitman lately; a novel by Marian Zimmer Bradley; political commentary by Al Franken; and a book on plants. I read blogs and newspapers and in general am a content hound. |
