| Introduction | After 35 years in the software industry, I have opted out of the daily grind. My wife and I have moved to Walla Walla, a small city in southeast Washington, on the edge of the dry rolling hills of the wheat country known as the Palouse. I'm taking a few months off on my own voyage of discovery (Lewis & Clark passed through not far from here), to spend time with my wife, Colleen (who is the anchor of my life and whom I love dearly), and to devote time to the things I enjoy. These include fly fishing & fly tying, field trialing and bird hunting with my collection of setters, riding my Tennessee Walker, Ace, reading, and photography. I am also discovering the artistic complement to my analytical side by writing, doing photography, and relearning the guitar. What comes next? I don't know -- but I suspect this blog will be part of my process. |
