Introduction	I ran a film company in Hollywood for 33 years. I created the "short end" business and bought and sold new and ends of motion picture film and expanded into video. We became the largest recycler of tape in the US and a large distributor for Fuji Film, Fuji tape and many other manufacturers. I sold the business in 2001 and took over management of the film grant I created in my father's name, the Roy Dean film grants. Today we have been giving 3 grants a year for twenty years. I love what I do. I read hundreds of proposals and see thousands of trailers and give guidance and support to filmmakers who enter our grants and others who hire me. It's a great life.
