Introduction | I love God, art of almost any kind, my family, writing/drawing, reading, watching movies, taking long walks and my dog Darcy. I also love comic books/graphic novels. They are such a great medium! I hope to encourage people to enjoy more art, whether it is theater, paintings, books of all sorts, or opera (which I can never get enough of)! |
Interests | Books - comic and otherwise, art, music, movies, English... |
Favorite Movies | The Princess Bride, Swan Lake, Henry V, Howl's Moving Castle, Atonement, Boondock Saints, Snatch, Pride & Prejudice, Amelie, The Tales of Hoffman, Pan's Labyrinth, The Red Shoes (what I always say is my true favorite), Whisper of the Heart, The Third Man, Lucky Number Slevin, The Departed, Shéhérazade, The Philadelphia Story, M, The Triplets of Belleville, and The Fall. |
Favorite Music | OPERA!!!!!! Especially Mozart's, Puccini. I also enjoy pieces by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Bach, Kreisler, among others. I Really Like Loreena Mckennitt, Brand New, And Panic at the Disco too. |
Favorite Books | Such a hard question, of course. Here is a little list, but don't hold me to it too strictly. My all time favorite has to be Les Miserables because it is such a beautiful redemption story. I also love The Count of Monte Cristo, The Brothers Karamazov, Great Expectations, The Scarlet Pimpernel, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Le Pere Goriot, Ivanhoe, Vanity Fair, Pride and Prejudice, Shakespeare plays - most particularly Twelfth Night, Watchmen, The Sandman, Rising Stars, A Little Princess, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, The Secret Garden, and The Princess Bride. |
