| Introduction | I am a business manager and a part-time counseling psychologist from Thailand. My personal passion is to understand myself and my potential as a human being. I want to appreciate life in all aspects and to share with all the love ones in my life. I have experiences in counseling international refugees but with the career limit of this profession, it is still difficult to build up a career in this field unless you are in academic or government mental health sector. In Thailand, not much has been developed for psychological counseling in practice. The mental health practice is mostly spotlighted through the expertise of medical professionals, so becoming a real counseling practitioner here is still far away from the western society even though there is a high demand for counseling in many different population such as athletes and special population. Anyway, whenever and wherever there is an opportunity, I hope to develop counseling as a long term career for any population in need. |
