Introduction	Graduate of St. John Fisher College and the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in Virginia. Joined the Monroe County Public Defender's Office in 1985, and the appeals section in 1988. Argued one of three cases which became People v Dokes, 79 NY2d 656 (1992) (defendant's right to be present at Sandoval) and both cases in People v Pitts, 4 NY3d 303 (2005) (unencumbering defendant's right to post-conviction DNA testing).
