| Introduction | I am a single mom who is blessed to be able to also be a 90% stay at home mom. My son will be seven in June, and this is also our first year to homeschool. I am able to work part time, do my accounting classes online, and do the homeschooling only because I have the help of my wonderful mother! My son and I live with my parents and this has allowed us to still reap the benefits of traditional two-parent families. My son has been through some terrible times in his short six and a half years, and you will hear me talk of this from time to time. I have been separated from his father for a little over 4 years, and have been divorced for almost three. In August of 2007, Sam's abuse from his father came to light, and we spent his first year of school juggling between court dates, CPS visits, and counseling appointments. He just started seeing his father again 4 weeks ago, but still hasn't spent any nights with him. Sam is not adjusting too well, and we are praying that God will continue to provide peace to Sam when he is faced with these visits. Well, that is kinda where we are at right now.
