| Introduction | 63 years old now but still have vivid memories of the best place i ever lived in....LAMBOURN in berkshire. i was there with my brother in '66 and i loved the place and the people. my bro was friends with billy jesse, a lightweight jockey for doug marks. i liked billy a lot. unfortunately he died in 2000 sfter a short illness. billy was only 57. i was friends with a young apprentice jockey called martin o'halloran. he was later to go on to very good things as a jump jockey and won some big races. this apperentice jockey site is THE greatest horse racing site i have ever come across. the pics and stories of the jocks and trainers of the 50's and (especially) the 60's have me glued to this laptop screen for hours. the person/s responible for these cobweb corner classics should be awarded a bloody knighthood! absolutely teriffic. my eternal thanks to you apprentice jockey. |

| Favorite Books | only read DICKENS! he is the world's greatest author and because of this no one can compare with him...though i have tried some of the other classics. dickens wasn't just a great author, he was the funniest man on the planet. he had the greatest insight into human nature than anyone before or since. god bless him. |
