I am grateful for the deeply insightful introductory essays of André Coia-Gatie and Jacques Simonelli in the two re-issues of Erlanger's work, the first by Éditions Table d'Emeraude (1984) and Éditions Allia (1996) We are grateful to the community of french alchemical philosophers who have kept memory of Irène Hillel-Erlanger alive since her passing and of whom she was obviously a loved one.
